With more than 36 years of experience in agency work, Art Jefferson is building one of Freedom 55 Financial's strongest financial centres. During his career, Art has served as a financial security and investment representative, sales director and head office executive. He’s also remained involved in the financial services industry by serving as chairman of industry professional associations such as the Winnipeg Life Managers, and industry study groups such as LIMRA's Research Advisors Group. As the regional director of Freedom 55 Financial’s Mississauga financial centre, he’s surrounded himself with professionals who pride themselves on helping financial security and investment representatives take their business to "the next level".

Ashok Ambwani

Director, Business Development

Ashok received B.Eng. (Hons) from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (India) in 1976 and thereafter set up a manufacturing company in India. He spent 20 years successfully managing this company before immigrating to Canada. Ashok joined Freedom 55 Financial and Quadrus Investment Services Ltd. in Mississauga, as a financial security and investment representative in October 2001. His varied and vast experience in business and time management helped him to quickly become a sales leader.

David Boynton, B.A.Sc., CFP

Director, Business Development

David began his financial services career in 1996 after he graduated with honours in engineering from the University of Toronto. Prior to university, David served four years as a police officer. After graduation, David joined Nesbitt Burns as part of their investment banking team in corporate finance. During the next five years, he earned roles of increasing responsibility as he participated in and lead equity financings, merger and acquisition mandates for the team. He also prepared valuations for Boards of Directors. In 2001, David accepted a new challenge in financial services by joining Freedom 55 Financial. He chose his current role because he's passionate about helping people with their financial health, and about growing our organization by recruiting the right people and helping/coaching other financial security and investment representatives achieve their business goals.

Rob D'Alimonte and Shamali Das

Rob D'Alimonte and Shamali Das ensure our financial security and investment representatives get hands-on training and support in the initial stages of their careers with Freedom 55 Financial and Quadrus Investment Services Ltd. As the new representatives progress, they will be coached to improve their business skills as well as their sales practices. Our team of directors can do this because of their wealth of experience.

Shamali Das, B.A, M.A, ACS, AIAA

Director, Business Development

Shamali completed her BA economics in 1980 and her MA economics in 1983. She started her career as a university lecturer and got involved in training insurance advisors in 1993. Prior to joining London Life, she was the recruitment and training manager for an insurance firm in Dubai.

Robert D’Alimonte, B.A.

Director, Business Development

Robert earned his BA from York University in 1994. He spent the first two years of his career working for the Ontario Government before entering the financial services industry with London Life in 1996. He left London Life in 1998 to pursue a new role at the Bank of Nova Scotia. In December 2001, he returned to our organization as a financial security advisor where he has built a successful business practice. He made the transition to his current leadership role in 2005.

Emilio DeLuca, B.A., CLU, CFP, FMA

Manager, Life Products

Emilio majored in economics at Brock University and completed his BA in 1996. He began his career in the financial services industry with London Life in 1998. In 2002, he became a life insurance product specialist. Emilio supports financial security advisors with Freedom 55 Financial by providing advanced technical and marketing expertise on an individual case consultation basis. His services are part of an advanced support network designed to assist our financial security advisors compete in more lucrative markets, such as estate planning and business life insurance. Emilio chose to work in the life insurance industry because, relative to the other financial sectors, he feels it allows him to use all the important financial tools needed to build strategic plans in clients' best interests.

John Macpherson

Manager, Retirement & Investment Services

John graduated from the University of Manitoba with a B Comm. (Hons) in 1984 and began his financial services career in Toronto, working for five years in the treasurer’s department at Canadian Pacific Limited and 10 years with Woolworth Canada. He then joined CIBC in Mississauga as a small business advisor, providing loan and investment products for small business owners. Eventually, he joined Freedom 55 Financial in Mississauga as a financial security advisor. He soon accepted a leadership role with the organization and now helps financial security advisors with Freedom 55 Financial who want to build their investment business. John and his team provide marketing, sales, process, and planning concepts to financial security advisors as well as case consultation.

John Mackenzie, B.A

Specialist, Group Benefits

John started his insurance career in 2003 working with GCAN Insurance Company in the aviation underwriting department. In 2006 he graduated from The University of Western Ontario and joined Great-West Life. John’s role as a group benefit specialist is to work with both new and experienced financial security advisors, to assist them in setting up new employee benefit plans or modifying existing plans to fit the client's needs. John spends a great deal of time in keeping financial security advisors current on changes in the employee benefit marketplace and providing valuable information on new products and services for their clients.

Patricia J. Tiveron

Specialist, London Life Mortgage Planning

Patricia believes in helping clients make the right choices for the right reasons. As a London Life mortgage planning specialist, mortgages are her business and she provides information to allow clients to make the decisions that are right for their families. Patricia’s 11 years as a mortgage planning specialist, has given her experience in all aspects of mortgage transactions including new homes, resale homes, transfers and refinancing of clients mortgages. She is committed to ongoing professional development on the latest mortgage solutions.

Ken Kraker, Dipl. B., BBA (Hon)

Specialist, Living Benefits

In 2002, Ken graduated with a diploma in business administration from Mohawk College and was awarded a Bronze Medal for outstanding contribution to the college and community. He further pursued his education at Brock University in St. Catharine’s, Ontario, graduating with a Batchelor of Business Administration (BBA (Hons)). With his focus in marketing; this time being honored with the President’s Surgite Award for outstanding academic achievement, and community involvement. Ken began his employment as a sales broker in the transportation industry at a company in Mississauga. Ken later joined Great-West Life as a specialist in living benefits, helping train financial security advisors on the merits of using living benefits in their clients’ personal and investment portfolios to help mitigate financial risk.
